Stop Selenium RC using Command prompt

Sometimes it is essential to stop the selenium server using command prompt. If we are starting the selenium server using command prompt, its very much easy to stop it by the command prompt.

To Start:

java -jar selenium-server.jar

To Stop:
Ctrl+c

After using Ctrl+c, the server will shut down.

Suppose the selenium server is started by double clicking on the selenium-server.jar file, then we have to use a command to stop the selenium server. And the command looks like;

wmic path win32_process Where "CommandLine Like '%selenium-server.jar%'" Call Terminate

    If you are using python based selenium tests, you could use urllib2 library to send a http request to stop the selenium server.
